[ Scripts ]
A : I would like to reserve a room for tomorrow night.

B : We only have a double left.

A : What is the cost?

B : 180 dollars per night, plus tax.

A : I'll take it. My name is John Smith.

B : What time will you check in, Mr. Smith?

A : About 6 pm in the evening

B : Your reservation number is 55772.

 

[ Summary ]

John Smith wants to make a reservation for tomorrow night. But only double room is available.

That costs 180 dollars per night. He will check in at around 6 in the evening.

His reservation number is 55772. That's all :D

 

[ Pattern Drills ]

[subject] + only + have(has) + [noun] + left.

ex) He only has 1 dollar in his wallet.

 

[ Key expressions ]
1. We only have a double left.

= There is only a double room available.

= You only makes a reservation for double room.

 

2. What is the cost?

= How much is the cost?

= How much do i have to pay for?


[ Questions part ]
Q1. How far in advance do you plan your vacation?

A. I already went on a summer vacation 2 weeks ago. Acually, I don't have any advance plan for vacation now.


Q2. What do you consider before booking a hotel?

A. The most important thing is the reasonable cost, and the location near by my destination as well. 

 

Q3. Is it better to call a hotel or book online?

A. Needless to say(고민 할 필요 없이, 말할 것도 없이), Booking online is better convenient nowadays.

The times have changed after COVID-19 virus.

 

Q4. Describe the nicest hotel you've stayed at.

A. That's really tough question for me. We always get what we pay for(우리는 항상 지불한 만큼의 것을 얻는다).

Q5. What's your worst hotel experience?

A. I think university dormitory is my worst experience for sleeping my entire life.

So loud, dirty and shared by several people.

2. Like I just said = 방금 말했듯이(=Like I mentioned earlier, As I mentioned earlier)

7. It is on the tip of my tongue = 표현이 생각이 날 듯 말 듯 할 때(입에서 맴돌다)

9. It was a delightful to speak with you today. = 오늘 너와 얘기 나누어서 정말 기뻣어 !
